Ceramic Crafts and Creative Iso Cuisine

Using an electric-powered potter’s wheel (the only one in Fukui) to shape the clay. With the help of an expert, create your own ceramics. Please feel free to stay overnight at the Yamaneya Inn by the ocean.

Yamaneya is located on the Echizen Coast, and the largest beach in Fukui is located right out front. In Yamaneya, our concept is “Tasting Fukuiwhere we strive to discover delectable items unique to Fukui and in the best way, provide it to our guests. Among Fukui’s delicacies, the focal point is the seafood caught from the Sea of Japan, which can be seen in front of the hotel. Yamaneya purchases local fish caught from the sea directly out front: cherry bass and shrimp in the spring, abalone, turban shell & rock oysters in the summer, rockfish and wild eel in autumn. With the Echizen crab available in the winter, one can enjoy the Sea of Japan all year round.
