Starry Sky Viewing and Photography

Photo session for those who would like to photograph the starry sky (tripod required)

Learn the positions of the constellations and capture stars on your camera!

*Although the Milky Way will span across the sky, depending on your equipment, it may be difficult to capture the stars, due to lighting.

Recommended equipment for photographing the Milky Way:

  • Wide angle lens with a 24mm focal length (35mm in full size) or less
  • Lenses that can be set to F3.5 or lower (While it can be photographed with an F4 lens, the following sensitivity specs are mandatory)
  • Maximum ISO sensitivity of 12800 or more is recommended (required if you have an F4 lens). Although there is considerable noise, shooting with a max ISO setting of 6400 is possible.

*Even without meeting these specs, there are still stars that can be photographed with clear focal length lenses (北空, Summer Triangle, etc)
